Assistant Police Chief - The Town of Burgaw Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Police Chief.  All applicants must meet all requirements of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission. This position requires extensive law enforcement experience with at least 5 years of law enforcement supervision.  It is preferred for the applicant to possess a 4-year college degree in criminal justice or public administration or have equivalent experience. Must be knowledgeable of NC planning laws, federal regulations, and planning and zoning principles and practices. Must possess a four-year degree from an accredited college or university in planning, geography, public administration, or other related field; master’s degree in planning or related field preferred.
