The Parks Division seeks to enhance the quality of lives of the citizens of Burgaw by offering a comprehensive system of parks, greenways, facilities, and open spaces that help promote health and the enjoyment of outdoor activity in Burgaw.
Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all Town facilities, and smoking is limited to parking areas only. No pets are allowed in town parks.
Facility Rentals- Both Hankins and Rotary Parks have covered pavilions with picnic tables. The pavilion at Hankins Park is available for rent. To reserve the pavilion for special events, please contact the Burgaw Police Department (910) 259-4924.
Burgaw Greenway Trail
The Burgaw Greenway Trail completes a 2 3/4 mile loop that consists of a greenway along Burgaw’s Osgood Canal as well as sidewalks through Burgaw. This trail offers a great connection between all of Burgaw’s parks, Burgaw Elementary, Burgaw Middle School and Burgaw’s Historic Downtown.
Rotary Park is located next to the Cape Fear Community College on Industrial Drive. The park has restrooms, a lighted pavilion with picnic tables, multiple children’s playground equipment areas, and a paved path linking the park to the greenway trail.
Harrell’s Park is located on the corner of North Walker Street and West Ashe Street. It has children’s playground equipment, as well as two lighted tennis courts. It is conveniently located across the street from Hankins Park, where there are restroom facilities, picnic tables, etc.

Hankins Park is located at the corner of North Walker Street and East Wallace Street. It has a picnic pavilion, picnic tables, charcoal grill, and a restroom facility.
Johnson Park is located at the intersection of E. Hayes and S. Walker Streets. The park is dissected by the Burgaw Greenway Trail and includes a gravel path through garden area and tree shaded grass open space.
