The Town of Burgaw Tree Board is comprised of seven members with two members being from the extraterritorial jurisdiction (if deemed necessary) and may also provide for two (2) advisory members for technical support. The two advisory members shall have no voting rights. The Tree Board’s responsibilities are to study, investigate, counsel and develop and update annually and administer a written plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets and other public areas. The Tree Board membership is limited to three year terms.
