FINANCE DEPARTMENT
The Finance Department is responsible for the management of Town funds in accordance with the Local Government and Fiscal Control Act, applicable state and federal regulations, and sound principals of accounting and cash management.
The department oversees cash and asset management, accounts payable and purchasing, payroll and benefits, utility billing and collections, debt service, and grant monitoring. The department is responsible for administering the town’s financial policies and procedures, preparing and monitoring of the annual operating budget and preparing financial statements.
We are ready to assist when you need to:
- Establish a utility account (water and sewer, garbage collection and recycling)
- Pay your utility bill
- Obtain a privilege license to operate a business
- Pay your occupancy tax
Visit us at Town Hall at 109 N. Walker St. or call 910-259-2151. Hours are weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (new accounts, water cut on or cut off by 4 p.m.) VISA, Mastercard and Discover cards are accepted for payments at Town Hall or by telephone.
